RGAA accessibility audit

Public-sector bodies and certain private companies are subject to a legal digital accessibility obligation in France. An RGAA audit establishes the actual compliance level of your site.

Digital accessibility is a legal obligation in France. Article 47 of the Law of 11 February 2005 covers the public sector and companies whose annual turnover in France exceeds €250 million. Since 28 June 2025, European Directive 2019/882 has extended the obligation to new private services, including e-commerce, with an exemption for businesses with fewer than ten employees generating at most two million euros in turnover.

An inaccessible site excludes part of your users: visually impaired people, screen reader users, keyboard-only navigation. The audit establishes the exact state of your site. It guarantees nothing: it measures.

RGESN 2024 eco-design complements accessibility: see our sustainable web agency page.

What the RGAA audit contains

Compliance report

Assessment of the 106 criteria of RGAA 4.1.2, the French digital accessibility standard, in the version currently in force, applied to your main page templates. Each non-conformity is documented with its impact level and the required correction.

The standard is published on accessibilite.numerique.gouv.fr: every criterion in our audit is referenced there. A version 5 is announced for late 2026; our audits follow the version in force.

Prioritised correction plan

Non-conformities ranked by priority (blocking, major, minor). Each entry contains the correction, not only the finding.

Accessibility statement

The regulatory document generated from the audit results. It states the compliance rate, known non-conformities and any exemptions.

Multi-year plan

For organisations required to publish one, we produce the document with compliance milestones.

Post-correction check

Counter-audit on corrected pages to confirm that non-conformities have been resolved.

What we do not promise

We do not promise a compliance rate at the end of the audit. We deliver an accurate picture based on the criteria of RGAA 4.1.2. The final rate depends on the corrections you choose to implement and the timeline you set.

If your site is built in Next.js, our custom web development integrates RGAA from the design phase.

Audit cost depends on the number of templates and user journeys to cover.
