What RGESN 2024 requires, and how we apply it
Pages under 1 MB
Total page weight measured at load time, images included. That is the RGESN 2024 threshold, not an approximate target.
WebP and AVIF formats
Images converted and served in the lightest format the browser supports. No PNG or JPEG in production unless necessary.
Lazy loading
Images below the fold load when they are needed. The LCP (first visible content) is not delayed.
Two font families maximum
One for headings, one for body text. Each additional family is an unnecessary download.
